Roll film scanning
Service Point utilise the latest range of Wicks & Wilson roll film scanners offering the ultimate quality available. Operating some of Europe's largest scanning bureaus assures this specialist service is delivered with an attention to detail combined with capacity and economy. Converting roll film images and capturing them in digital form for subsequent storage, archiving, distribution or printing has never been easier, simpler, or better.
Roll film scanning offers an extremely efficient, low cost, backfile conversion solution and the Service Point can carry out this task with little operator intervention. We therefore pass the savings on to our customers with low service charges.
Even with paper based original documents, it is often an efficient solution to initially microfilm the documents and then scan the microfilm. You may be questioning how and why it can be more efficient to go through a two-stage process in order to achieve the same end result.
Most lower cost document scanners are only capable of accepting documents of a maximum size (i.e. A4) and frequently will jam or produce inadequate results if the documents are anything other than in almost pristine condition.
Roll film scanners however will accept documents on film with an original size of anything from a till receipt up to an A0 drawing. There are never problems with document jams and as an added benefit either our customer or the bureau can retain the archive roll film copy as security (generally guaranteed for at least 100 years on microfilm) and at no additional costs.
