Linden Homes is an award-winning house builder specialising in brownfield sites. It is part of Galliford Try which, with a turnover of circa £900 million, is one of the UK’s top ten publicly quoted house builders.
Paul Perry, Commercial Director, wanted to investigate more effective documentation processes. At this stage Linden had its own print capabilities. The main shortcoming of this was the time it took to get plans and documents to site, nor was optimum use being made of Linden’s in-house facility.
Service Point’s then demonstrated their Project Vault collaboration software. Within the week a decision had been made, the implementation meeting and training had been carried out and the first project using Project Vault was under way. Within five weeks, Service Point had created a template allowing for the project to be cloned and rolled out over six more projects.
Commenting on it, Paul said ‘We were very impressed with the speed with which Service Point grasped our needs. Service Point’s efficiency and professionalism in this regard far exceeded our expectations. The team also assisted us with the cultural impacts of implementing a system like this’, stated Paul.
He went on to add ‘Project Vault has now become an integral part of how we manage our documents and streamline their distribution. It has made us more effective and efficient, plus we have the piece of mind that we and our supply chain are always working with the latest revisions and not wasting time looking for miss-placed or miss-filed documents. We now have greater control and accountability over our projects.’
